Fox Sports just posted a list of most dynamic duos. These are my dynamite duos to watch out for this season.
Romo and Bryant
According to Fox Sports, he is targeted 138 times by Romo,
and also Jerry Jones. Ha Sorry I had to. Bryant
has remained out of the spotlight and seems to have it all together this off season;
however, he just rested for the another day today because of a sore hip. Let’s hope that is not going
to be chronic. It is time for Bryant to put up the numbers he is capable of.
His expectations are so high, and they should be. The Boys’ have such a huge
investment in him, that he should be the most dominant threat for their team
every single quarter, not just the fourth.
On the competing side, Manning and Cruz
Cruz
has not missed a game since 2011 - too bad for my Cowboys who get killed by his
route running and Terrance Newman, but he has been let go so maybe the Boys’
have a chance against Cruz this year. I am not going to lie, I did not give
Manning credit until his most recent Superbowl win, and he was en el fuego. When he and Cruz are
connecting, it is lethal for other teams.
Dalton and Green
Love,
love, love this duo. Dalton did not get enough credit for his performance
during his sophomore year. They are the youngest match-up on the scene. I am
still considering drafting Green in fantasy just for this one reason. I had him
last year and it was spotty, but he always put up points. I expect him to continue to get better and push Dalton.
Kaepernick and Davis
Vernon
Davis will have to fill a void at WR with Michael Crabtree being sidelined at
least until November. Davis has been lining up with WR’s at training camp. He is quick, has good feet
and with his build, he is difficult to tackle. I don’t know about you, but I trust anything
Jim Harbaugh comes up with.
Brees and Colston
Brees
led the NFL in passing yards, and Colston received 16.1 percent of those
passes. The percentage continues to increase, making Colston his go-to-guy. The
other positive about this duo this season, is Sean Payton is back on the sideline.
Payton makes a huge difference with this team, and after the way the “Bounty
Program” was handled, I am sure the Saints are out for vengeance.
Manning and Welker
This
list had Manning and Thomas, and I am more interested in Manning and Welker,
because of not only the Texas Tech background, but the fact that Welker already
has said he feels more comfortable in Denver. Welker has always been a factor
and will most definitely go into the HOF, and I expect him to put up just as
good, if not better, with the Broncos. Manning is not as familiar with Welker
as he is with Thomas, but I think what the Broncos were missing was a
playmaker, and Welker can be that for Manning. And honestly, Manning needs very little
transition time with Welker, he can connect with anyone.
Cutler and Marshall
It’s
about time Cutler rises to the occasion. With a new coach, Marc Trestman, it
will be interesting to see if this duo can thrive or if it will be a transition
season for "DA BEARS." Brandon Marshall and Cutler go way back, but in my
opinion, Marshall is what makes Cutler look good.
Stafford and Johnson
Need I
say more? The list online listed them as number one duo, and I would most
definitely have to agree. I don’t think it will be the most interesting,
because obviously they gel together, but it will be impressive to see if
MEGATRON can continue to put up the numbers, with an added running game to open
the pass. The lions have not had a strong running game nor did they score many
points last season, so most pressure fell on Stafford connecting to Johnson to
get in the endzone. I am a huge believer in having a strong running game, to
open up the pass and then you get to enjoy the 40 yard throw connecting to
Megatron and him running it in.
Oh, and Jonny “football” Manziel, was kicked out of a UT
frat party. I would hope the same would happen at Tech, and then A&M can
talk about how “classy” UT and Tech are, while Manziel keeps rolling in a Benz….yeah…That is all.
